Why wear specialised fencing socks instead of regular sports socks?

Fencing socks are designed to work with fencing shoes and the demands of the piste. They feature reinforced cushioning at the heel and ball of the foot where impact is highest during lunges, moisture-wicking fabric to keep feet dry during long bouts, and a snug fit that prevents bunching inside tight-fitting fencing shoes.

What is AirFlow technology in Azza fencing socks?

AirFlow is our ventilation system built into the sock construction. It uses targeted mesh zones across the top and sides of the foot to improve airflow, keeping your feet cooler and drier during training and competition.

What types of fencing socks does Azza offer?

We offer two styles: crew socks and fencing-specific performance socks. The crew socks suit everyday training, while the performance socks add features like anti-slip grip zones and reinforced cushioning tuned for the repeated impact of lunges and footwork drills.

How should I care for my fencing socks?

Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours, and air dry to preserve the elasticity and cushioning. Avoid bleach and tumble drying — heat breaks down the elastic fibres faster and can shrink the moisture-wicking material.
