Why wear specialised fencing socks instead of regular sports socks?
Fencing socks are designed to work with fencing shoes and the demands of the piste. They feature reinforced cushioning at the heel and ball of the foot where impact is highest during lunges, moisture-wicking fabric to keep feet dry during long bouts, and a snug fit that prevents bunching inside tight-fitting fencing shoes.
What is AirFlow technology in Azza fencing socks?
AirFlow is our ventilation system built into the sock construction. It uses targeted mesh zones across the top and sides of the foot to improve airflow, keeping your feet cooler and drier during training and competition.
What types of fencing socks does Azza offer?
We offer several lines: Performance & Protection and Breathability & Cushioning for everyday training and competition; a Compression & Anti-Slip line with graduated compression and silicone grip zones that lock the foot in during fast footwork; a Recovery line in a soft cotton-and-natural-latex blend to support the legs after intense sessions; and an everyday crew sock. All come in XS–XL.
How should I care for my fencing socks?
Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours, and air dry to preserve the elasticity and cushioning. Avoid bleach and tumble drying heat breaks down the elastic fibres faster and can shrink the moisture-wicking material.
